The In Bloom | A Garden Gala, hosted by the Salina Art Center, was a beautiful celebration of creativity, fashion, and community support—held this year at the Hilton Garden Inn.

My wife and I had the chance to attend, and it was truly one of those events that reminds you why the arts matter so much in Salina.

A Fashion Show That Celebrated Creativity

One of the highlights of the evening was the wearable art fashion show. Local artists brought the theme “In Bloom” to life through imaginative designs inspired by nature, florals, and transformation. Each piece felt unique, expressive, and full of personality—proving once again that Salina’s art community is incredibly talented.

The runway wasn’t just entertaining; it was meaningful. Guests were able to support their favorite designs through donations, turning the fashion show into an interactive and impactful fundraiser.

An Evening for a Great Cause

The Garden Gala is an important fundraising event that supports the Salina Art Center’s:

  • Art galleries

  • Independent cinema

  • Education studios and youth programs

As a nonprofit organization, the Salina Art Center plays a huge role in keeping art accessible and thriving in our community. Events like In Bloom help ensure that creativity continues to grow right here in Salina, Kansas.

Why Events Like This Matter

My wife and I genuinely enjoy being part of Salina’s art community, and this event was a great reminder of how much heart and talent exists locally. From the atmosphere to the people to the purpose behind the evening—it was inspiring, uplifting, and fun.

If you’ve never attended one of the Salina Art Center’s events, this is absolutely one to add to your calendar next year.
